Trailer for Modern-Day Robin Hood Action Heist Thriller THE MISFITS with Pierce Brosnan and Tim Roth — GeekTyrant

Pierce Brosnan stars in a new action heist thriller titled The Misfits, and Paramount has released the first trailer for the film. The Misfits comes from director Renny Harlin, who had a fun run in the ‘90s with films such as Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger, Cutthroat Island, The Long Kiss Goodnight, and Deep Blue Sea. So, as you’ll see, the film has a very ‘90s vibe to it.

The story follows a band of modern-day Robin Hoods known as The Misfits, and they “recruit renowned thief Richard Pace (Brosnan) to help them pull off the heist of the century. The prize: millions in gold bars stashed underneath one of the world’s most secure prisons. Hold on tight for a globe-trotting, action-packed new thriller.”

The cast also includes Tim Roth, Jamie Chung, Rami Jaber, Hermione Corfield, and Mike Angelo. I enjoy watching heist movies, but unfortunately, this one doesn’t look great. It looks pretty silly, but I’ll still probably give it a try. Maybe it’ll be fun.

Paramount will release The Misfits in theaters on June 11th, then on VOD on June 15th.
