Timothee Chalamet is pulled from a bench by co-star Tom Davis while filming Wonka in Bath 

Timothee Chalamet looked well and truly in character as he filmed scenes for Wonka in Bath on Wednesday.

The actor, 25, is taking on the lead role of Willy Wonka in the fantasy film which serves as a prequel to Roald Dahl’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.  


Timothee was joined on set by co-star Tom Davis as he appeared to get pulled off a bench while filming  a late-night scene.

The film star was sporting the character’s familiar costume of a purple coat and brown top hat.

He also sported a pair of beige striped trousers and a patterned vest along with a dark grey scarf.  

The Call Me By Your Name star was seen enjoying a cup of coffee between takes of the film, which was filming in Lyme Regis, Dorset earlier this week. 

At one point, the actor appeared to take a nap on the bench as he put his hat over his face while members of the crew stood nearby.

‘The suspense is terrible, I hope it will last …’ Chalamet said in the caption of his post, along with a factory emoji, a chocolate bar emoji and the #Wonka hashtag.
