Antony Starr looked ready for action as he flew into a scene for an upcoming season of The Boys.

The actor, 45, wore his full Homelander costume with its skin-tight blue body suit and red and white striped cape, along with icy blonde hair.

In the scene, Starr’s superhero glides down into a crowd of supporters wearing patriotic colors and carrying signs touting American safety.

Some signs have Homelander’s face on them alongside sayings such as ‘Keep America Safe’ while others read ‘American Safety First.’ 

The Boys is heading into its third season. Season 2 of the show came out in October of last year. The third season of the critically-acclaimed television show is expected to be released later this year. 

The Boys follows a group of regular people as they try to expose superheroes who are using their powers for the wrong reasons.

Star appears in the series alongside Karl Urban, Jack Quaid and Erin Moriarty. Jensen Ackles of Supernatural fame will join the cast for season 3.

Starr is already talking up the next season of the show. In an interview with TV Line, he said he really enjoyed working on season 3.  

‘Oh, my God, [Season 3] is hands down one of the most enjoyable seasons of TV I’ve had the good fortune of being involved with!’ the actor said. 

Starr went on to say that he think audiences will ‘freak out at Season 3.’

The actor hasn’t only been working on The Boys though. He will appear in the film Cobweb, currently in post-production, which follows a boy who unleashes the voices in his hand on his abusive parents. 

The New Zealand native’s personal life hasn’t been as active as his career. The actor has never married though he is dating costume designer Lucy McLay. 

The two met at a restaurant in 2008. They are very private people, so little is known about their relationship.
