SCHITT’S CREEK Talent Dan Levy is Developing a New Animated Comedy For Hulu Titled STANDING BY — GeekTyrant

Schitt’s Creek co-creator, executive producer, and star Dan Levy is set to develop a new animated series for Hulu titled Standing By. Levy will co-write the series, produce, and voice one of the lead characters.

Standing By is “a satirical look into the lives of a group of eternally bound, disgruntled guardian angels and the lessons they’ll eventually learn from not only the dysfunctional humans they’re in charge of protecting, but also each other.”

Levy will voice a character named Carey, “the newly deceased, cynical spotter to the group who had a lonely, isolated life in New York City.”

Levy is developing the series alongside writer and director Ally Pankiw and 20th Television Animation. Levy and Pankiw both worked together on Schitt’s Creek, and I imagine they’ll bring that same level of hilarious comedy to Standing By. So, if you’re a fan of Schitt’s Creek, this is a series to keep a look out for!
