Well, we’ve officially left the Disney era of Power Rangers and have entered the Neo-Saban era. There are only 4 theme songs in this grouping since each series lasted for two seasons, so shall we just get started?
Power Rangers (Super) Samurai
Hey, this sounds cool. Wait, did they just rip off the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme? When you boil this theme song down, it sounds like the kind of cover that someone on YouTube would do of the MMPR theme. Then, they threw the word “samurai” in there a couple of times. Also, I don’t know if this counts as part of the theme, but I’m not a fan of having the cast announce their names. I don’t know why, but I just don’t care for it. This theme song definitely suffers from being a minute as well. It doesn’t need the extra 20-30 seconds to basically just repeat itself. Overall, this is a cool, albeit repetitive, copy of a classic.
