Pip Edwards reveals she’s into ‘tea ceremonies, sage burning and astrology’ but still calls herself Catholic on the census as she opens up about her spiritual life

Pip Edwards may be a successful businesswoman, having built an empire with her activewear label, P.E Nation.

But now the 41-year-old has spoken candidly about her spiritual side, saying she relies upon tea ceremonies, sage burning and astrology to help get her through life.

In an in-depth chat with The Sydney Morning Herald, Pip spoke about her religious views and upbringing, and her spirituality.

Pip said she was born and raised a Catholic and still ticks the religion on the census, but doesn’t really ‘identify’ with the faith.

She said she loves astrology – where people forecast events in everyday life through the interpretation of the sun, moon and planets.

‘You can take it with a grain of salt, but it adds another layer of colour and richness to what’s right in front of us,’ she said.

‘I am a massive animal card-reader. I have tea ceremonies. I have crystals. I burn sage, palo santo [holy wood],’ she added.

Pip added she suffers doubt in her ’emotional life’ but not as a businesswoman, saying she has ‘strong convictions’.

Last year, the Australian Financial Review reported that Pip earned a massive $20million in revenue in the last fiscal year.

P.E Nation has effectively quadrupled its profits since it was founded four years ago, having reported $5.2million in 2016/17.

Pip recently told Forbes that ‘passion’ is the key to success.

‘People often ask about what success is, because a lot of people think “how can I become successful?” That’s not the driver. And I think for women who are trying to start, fund or create businesses, it’s about their passion, what do they want to do every day, what are they prepared to commit to doing every day,’ she explained.

‘And maybe you need a skill-set along the way and experience, but I really believe it’s passion over everything.’
