Indie studio Retro Forge Games, working in partnership with publisher Dear Villagers (The Forgotten City, ScourgeBringer), revealed brand new commented gameplay for their upcoming debut Souldiers.
Souldiers wraps Metroidvania exploration, crunchy Soulslike action and precision platforming into one gorgeous pixel art package. Players take on the role of either scout, caster or archer battling for freedom in Terragaya, a mystical land on the border between life and death.
The game looks great and will bring back all your nostalgia for the classic 16-bit games. It definitely looks worth checking out when it releases in Spring 2022 on Switch and PC via Steam. You can check out the gameplay trailer with commentary below, if you have a hard time understanding heavy accents I would recommend turning on the captions.
