Marvel’s ARMOR WARS Hires Yassir Lester as Head Writer — GeekTyrant

Marvel has hired Yassir Lester (Black Monday, Earth To Ned, Girls) as the head writer of the upcoming Disney+ series Armor Wars.

Don Cheadle is reprising his role of Jim Rhodes, a.k.a. War Machine, in the show, the story of which will focus on what happens when Stark’s advanced technology falls into the wrong hands.

Other than that there are no other details to share on the project. I’m just excited that Don Cheadle is getting his own Marvel series as War Machine!

I’ve seen a few of the shows that Lester has worked on and I’ve enjoyed them. Marvel Studio President Kevin Feige obviously liked his pitch and vision of the Armor Wars series and I’m pretty stoked to see what they end up delivering.
