After winning the Grammy for song of the year and an Academy Award for best original song earlier this year, H.E.R. highlighted another awards ceremony, the 2021 BET Awards, on Sunday night (June 27) with a rocking performance of “We Made It.”
The singer-songwriter appeared unflappable as she descended from the rafters while playing a drum kit, and later, let her long hair sway in her face while delivering a blistering guitar solo. In between the virtuoso instrumental feats, H.E.R. led a crew of dancers during the celebratory, vocal-showcasing track.
