Gary Oldman’s wife Gisele Schmidt paid a visit to her Oscar-winning husband’s work on Monday.

She stopped by the set of Apple TV+ spy drama Slow Horses, as they shot scenes on location in London.

She watched on lovingly as he got to work, in the role of Jackson Lamb – a hapless British intelligence agent exiled to Slough House, an MI5 dumping ground for washed-up spooks.

Tie askew and sporting a generous paunch, Gary, 63, cut a dishevelled figure on the streets of Chelsea.

He was seen stopping between takes to chat to Gisele – a photographer and art curator who is the actor’s fifth wife, having wed her in 2017.

He snacked on tortillas between scenes, looking somewhat of a mess in his costume.

He wore a grey striped shirt and black tie over loose slacks and unflattering shoes.

Oldman recently described the character as having ‘greasy hair and flatulence’ adding: ‘He’s a f**ting, working-class version of George Smiley.’

Gisele watched on in a black T-shirt and russet slacks, carrying a camera around her neck.

She wore a facemask, as did the crew, still abiding by Covid safety protocol, adding shades to the ensemble and wearing her mane in a side plait.

Gary is starring alongside Kristin Scott Thomas in the 12-part series for Apple TV+ based on novelist Mick Herron’s bestselling spy books.

61-year-old Scott Thomas plays Diana Taverner, a formidable, high-ranking MI5 agent with the alias Lady Di.

The pair were pictured on a bench by Regent’s Canal in North London on Friday morning and were seen laughing while taking a selfie together between takes.

It is not the first time Oldman has piled on the pounds to play a secret agent; he gorged on chips, hamburgers and ice-cream puddings before starring as George Smiley in the 2011 adaptation of John le Carre’s Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Game of Thrones star Sir Jonathan Pryce and English actress Olivia Cooke also star in the series.
