Lisa gamely ploughed on with the script off-camera.
‘Hello, ‘we’re here,’ she said as the camera eventually lurched over to where the co-hosts were standing ready to start the show.
With an awkward wave, Lisa welcomed viewers while a clearly amused Michael stood beside her trying best not to laugh.
Things took a turn for the worse just seconds later, as the camera seemed to tilt down, losing sight of the co-hosts.

‘Should we kneel down Lisa?,’ Michael suggested as agonising seconds ticked by.
Crouching awkwardly in order for the camera to see them, Lisa burst out laughing and said: ‘It must be Friday.’
The camera finally move into the correct position as Michael mimed lifting a heavy weight with two up-turned hands:

The co-hosts had to improvise by crouching into the camera’s view amid much laughter
‘We’re going to rise to the occasion,’ he said with a laugh.
Finally recovering from the glitch, Michael said, ‘May I say, happy 90th birthday ABC.’
Meanwhile, it has been a good year for ABC News Breakfast.
In May, the well-respected ABC flagship finally beat Nine’s Today breakfast show every day in one week after more than 13 years.
Michael told TV Tonight: ‘The result reflects our key point of difference to the other shows. We don’t have ‘News’ in our title for nothing.’
