There’s multiple evolutions of Eliminate to unpack within his latest barnstorming single, “Mutation.”
It’s been the opening salvo of his DJ sets for months, and now “Mutation” finally arrives by way of Insomniac’s Bassrush imprint. The genre-bending qualities of this track specifically has made it one of the EDM.com Class of 2021 star’s tried-and-true performance weapons.
Eliminate synchronizes the arrangement’s opening wave of blistering leads for the head-banging audience before flawlessly executing a sneaky beat switch into the second half. The track morphs unexpectedly from the heavy stomp of dubstep drums into a heart-racing sixteenth note-driven arrangement. It’s difficult not to get caught off-guard by this frenzied single as it speeds relentlessly into its cathartic finish.

”Mutation” marks Eliminate’s second consecutive single on Bassrush following his recent collaboration with PEEKABOO, “Quickness.”
“I liked the idea of calling it ‘Mutation’ because the second drop sort of morphs into a completely different 4×4 feel,” Eliminate says of the new track. “Both drops have been going off at shows and I’m stoked to finally put it out on Bassrush.”
