Director Cameron Crowe Is Interested in Making a DAZZLER Movie for Marvel — GeekTyrant

Director Cameron Crowe has had a wonderful filmmaking career making fantastic films such as Say Anything, Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous, and more. Well, the writer and director is totally up for making a Marvel movie, and in an interview with Rolling Stone, Crowe shared that he’d be up for making a film based on the X-Men character Dazzler!

During the interview, he said, “Throw me a Dazzler movie! Let’s do it.” A film about Marvel’s musical-influenced pop star seems like the perfect fit for Crowe! If he ever did make a Marvel movie, yes… Dazzler would be the perfect one for him to take on.

As for who Cameron might cast in the role, after being thrown out a few fan casting names like Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé, there was one name that jumped out at him. He said: “I’m feeling Dua Lipa for this.” He added, “I think it’s cool. Doing a movie like that could be a blast. You can have character development and all that deep stuff and also have spectacle. You can do it. And it’s heading there, clearly.”

I would love to see Cameron make a Dazzler movie for Marvel! I bet he would make a great Marvel film with that character. Singer-songwriter Dia Lipa also seems like an interesting choice for the role.

Dazzler is a mutant with the ability to transduce sound into light, which often forces her into reluctant superheroism. She is also a very gifted singer and performer, hence her reservations of being a superhero.

I have no idea if Crowe will ever get to make a Dazzler film with Marvel, but is this something you’d like to see?
