DC’s WONDER TWINS Movie Casts 1883’s Isabel May and RIVERDALE’s KJ Apa

Warner Bros. hired 1883 actress Isabel May and Riverdale actor KJ Apa to co-star in DC’s live-action Wonder Twins movie, which is being developed for HBO Max.

The Wonder Twins follows the adventures of two shape-shifting alien siblings named Zan and Jayna and they should be fun characters for these two talents to take on. The characters were first introduced in the 1970s Hanna-Barbera animated television series The All-New Super Friends Hour.

The characters have the ability to activate their superpowers by touching hands and saying the phrase “Wonder Twin powers, activate!” Jayna can transform into an animal, while Zan is a shapeshifter. They are from the planet Exxor are were being informally trained by the DC superheroes.

Black Adam and Rampage co-writer Adam Sztykiel wrote the script and he’s also set to direct the movie and he will be making his directorial debut. Production is set to begin this summer in Atlanta.
