The very first CGI character created for a film was in director Barry Levinson and producer Steven Spielberg’s 1985 film Young Sherlock Holmes. CGI animation was used to bring a stained glass window of a knight to life and when I first saw this movie as a kid… it was the coolest damn thing I had ever seen!
Well, now the gang at Corridor Crew has released a video in which they recreate this character all these years later with updated technology. It ends with a silly short film that they shot as a tribute to the original CGI character.
While they did a decent job, the original actually still holds up better! It still looks better and has a much more cinematic feel to it. Watch the video below and let us know what you think!
