The creative team at Corridor has created an impressive short film titled To The DEATH that features a lightsaber fight. The cool thing about this fight scene is that it features real sword tactics.
They actually brought in an expert swordsman to choreograph the fight scene and their goal was to “reinvent the concept of lightsabers.” So, the also “took a new approach to the visual and sound design of a saber.”
I actually really love this! It’s cool and interesting to see lightsabers reimagined like this. I also included a behind-the-scenes video that they released and it came with the following note:
Niko embarks on a quest to make the most famous Sci-Fi weapon more realistic. He enlists the help of Sword Expert Luke LaFontaine in order to create a duel based on real sword techniques. On top of that, he has some new ideas on how to approach the visual effects…
