Power Rangers fans got a huge surprise recently. Chance Perez is currently the Black Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Fury and he’s also a musician. In an interview with iHeartRadio, he was asked about what’s in his future and he mentioned that Dino Fury season 1 is airing on Nickelodeon this year and then the second season will be on Netflix next year. That’s right, Perez has said that Dino Fury will be moving to Netflix for season 2! This is huge! Now, I am treating this as a rumor at the moment. There has been no word from Hasbro about this and it’s possible that Perez misspoke, but I feel like the grain of salt can be much smaller than many other rumors.
This news comes only days after a Hasbro earnings conference call that teased something like this. In the call, CEO Brian Goldner stated that Hasbro is getting ready to announce a new Power Rangers series and film that will be released on “a platform very shortly.” The platform was not identified, but Netflix does make a lot of sense and a move to Netflix for season 2 of Dino Fury would be fairly natural. What do you think of the move? Do you think we should take Perez’s statement at face value?
