Ion Overman is a beautiful actress who is best known for starring in Tyler Perry’s “Madea Goes To Jail.” In the movie, which MTO News has reviewed, she plays the crooked lawyer who was trying to get a woman sentenced to more jail time.
Well now it looks like she might be facing some jail time her damn self!
MTO News has confirmed that Ion was among 19 actors and entertainers living in Atlanta who have been indicted for allegedly defrauding the government in PPP loans. The total amount of the fraud is said to have been over $3M.
Here’s a video of Ion from Madea Goes To Jail:
The entertainers were all assisted with the fraudulent loan application by the same man and once approved, they were required to pay him a fee.
Unfortunately for Ion and the other actors, the feds caught on to their alleged scheme.
MTO News discovered that members of Ion’s family were on social media, attempting to collect money which that said would be used for legal fees and bail.
Some of the others include: music producer Carlos “Clos” Stephens who has worked with the likes of Master P and Little Romeo; actor Dale Godboldo who starred in “The People v. O.J. Simpson,” Thor and “The Year of the Dog”; and media personality Marvin Lewton, aka “Shadi Powers.”
