Actor and stunt performer Daniel Bernhardt, who appeared in The Matrix Reloaded, is set to reprise his role as Agent Johnson in director Lana Wachowski‘s The Matrix 4.
Wachowski co-wrote the script with Aleksander Hemon and David Mitchell, and the film stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Jada Pinkett Smith reprising their iconic roles as Neo, Trinity, and Niobe. The film will also star newcomers Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris, Toby Onwumere, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who is rumored to be playing young Morpheus. Jessica Henwick and Jonathan Groff also have roles.
Reeves previously said that Wachowski has written “a beautiful, beautiful script.” He went on to reveal that the film will tell a love story that he calls “inspiring” and shared that “it’s another version of a call to wake up. It entertains, great action, and all will be revealed.”
Warner Bros. will release the pic on April 1, 2022.
