Disney Releases Official Recipe For Tiana’s Beignets — GeekTyrant

Disney’s just released Tiana’s beignet recipe which in actuality is exactly their mickey mouse shaped beignets shared last year here. The twitter thread about it does have some fun images, but I would recommend following that link if you actually make it for ease of printing out the recipe.

If you’re unsure, a beignet is a type of fried dough dessert cut into squares and then sprinkled with powdered sugar to serve. Looking over it from a culinary standpoint it looks pretty good, though I would be a bit concerned about adding boiling water to a yeast based dough for fear of killing the yeast, without having made it I can’t say for sure, but if you make it and it doesn’t rise, try again using just lukewarm water instead of boiling.
