I’ve got a wonderfully animated sci-fi short film for you to watch today titled The Desert. The story is set on the planet Earth in a post-human age and the robots that the humans created are left to wander in desolation.
The robots don’t really have a purpose or task to work on. While some of the robots resort to violence, others study the society that left them behind. Life for the robots change when a strange event occurs that brings life back to the planet.
The Desert was created by Australian filmmaker Michael Dockery, and as you’ll see, it turned out beautiful.
