I’ve been looking through the Quickstart Guide for Avatar Legends, and it’s interesting. I personally haven’t played a system like it, and it’s very different from the RPG systems I have played. There seems to be more of an emphasis on working together as players and the GM to create and tell stories. Character Creation is also very different and not what I was expecting. The playbook system is something that I’m still trying to wrap my head around. Inside, you do get everything you need to get playing though including an adventure and pre-made characters if you don’t want to make your own. You can choose to be a bender of any of the four nations or you can be a non-bender and work as a marital artist or just a technological tinkerer. If you’re at all curious about the game, get the Quickstart Guide. It’s absolutely free and is the best way for you to learn the basics.
