According to Volbeat drummer Jon Larsen in an interview with Igor Miranda, the band’s follow-up to their 2019 album Rewind, Replay, Rebound is done and ready to go. Larsen added that the band’s two new singles “Wait A Minute My Girl” and “Dagen Før” will be on the new album, but aren’t representative of how the album sounds as a whole.
“The album is done; it’s ready. But I can’t reveal the release date yet. Of course, in modern times, you’ll find out online. But it’s all set, it’s ready to go, and I’m pretty sure it’s gonna blow your socks off,” said Larsen.
Both songs were recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the majority of the band recording with long-time producer Jacob Hansen in Denmark and guitarist Rob Caggiano working remotely in New York.
