Eve is a new 5-issue comic series from writer Victor LaValle and artist Jo Mi-Gyeong. It talks about the effects of climate change and how it affects future generations. The first issue was okay. Last week, BOOM! Studios dropped a preview for the second issue and it shows us a bit more of what’s going on and what’s happened with Eve’s father. We see him and his team in space working on making the Earth habitable again and they have some promising results.
Will Eve escape the remnants of New York City in order to save her father and restore life to a dying planet? Accompanied by robot teddy bear Wexler, Eve must stay one step ahead of the mutants stalking them who want to consume them. But when they are separated, she will discover that there are things even more terrifying in this new wasteland.
You can read Eve #2 on June 9. The main cover art is by Ario Anindito and variants will be available from Dan Mora and Ethan Young. Physical copies will be available at local comic shops while digital copies will be through comiXology (affiliate link), Google Play, iBooks, and Madefire.
