Warner Bros. has announced that DC is developing a new animated film titled Injustice and it’s based on the popular video game and comic series of the same name.
The story is set in an alternate DC universe where The Joker tricks Superman into killing his wife Lois Lane and their unborn child. After that Superman rules the world as a tyrant and Batman ends up leading a resistance against Superman in an effort to end his tyrannical regime.
There’s not much information on the project, it’s unclear if it will adapt the story of the video games, or the prequel comic series. Maybe it’ll be a mixture of both. Whatever it ends up being, I’m sure that fans will be excited about it!
There will be an advanced look at Injustice included with the upcoming DC animated film Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two which drops on July 27th. I wish I had more information, but that’s all we got for now! We’ll keep you updated.
