Kyle Richards’ daughter Farrah Aldjufrie previously weighed in on split rumors

Well before Kyle Richards reportedly split up from Mauricio Umansky, her daughter Farrah Aldjufrie weighed in on rumors her mother and stepfather were separating.

Back in April, Farrah, 34, referred to the gossip as nothing more than ‘stories’ as she addressed the rumors during an appearance at her mother’s National Alliance on Mental Illness event in West Hollywood. 

‘My reaction, I mean, these are stories,’ she told Page Six.

‘This is what always happens. People are going to find something and try to make it into a story.

‘And I feel like at this point, we’ve already been through so much. I mean, who cares?’

Her mother also addressed split rumors at the same party, saying the speculation all started after she was photographed at the gym without her wedding ring.

Richards denied that marital problems not the reason she went without the ring while speaking with Page Six at the bash. 

‘It started all from a stupid picture of me without a ring on,’ Richards said of her February 15 outing.

At the event – in support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness at the Fleur Room – Richards said that she didn’t want to wear the expensive piece of jewelry amid rising crime rates in her native Los Angeles, as well as the logistics of the ring obstructing her weightlifting in the gym.

‘I haven’t been wearing my big diamond ring, because there’s a lot of crime these days and I’m like, “I’m not comfortable,”‘ Richards said. ‘And B, I had just come from the gym lifting weights, so I was like, “That thing sparked that?” I don’t know.’

Richards told the outlet that with more than a decade on the Bravo stalwart, she had grown a thick skin to rumors about her marriage to Umansky.

‘When this stuff would come up before, I would like, cry and I was devastated,’ Richards told the outlet. ‘But now, I’m more like, “OK, I’ve done this before. Let’s do this. Bring it on. Come on. Let’s see what you got for me here.”‘

Richards said that the rumors of martial strife – which are a focal point of the upcoming season of RHOBH – were ‘really frustrating’ and caused her anxiety on the topic.

‘Obviously, you don’t love that because when the show airs in six months, I will be dealing with this,’ she said of the series, which is expected to air on Bravo this fall. ‘And people are going to be talking again and more fake stories and lies.’

Umansky also addressed the topic a week earlier on the April 10 edition of the podcast Two T’s In a Pod with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge, calling the speculation ‘so dumb’ as he claimed there were no marital woes to speak of.

‘That one stupid story that came out there, and then the girls all, you know, decided to talk about it on the Housewives, and so now it’s a storyline,’ he said on the podcast.

He added, ‘So there’s definitely some stories out there and Kyle and I address it and we’ll take it from there. It is what it is.’

People broke the news that Richards and Umansky were separating after 27 years of marriage on Monday.

The couple subsequently released a statement denying they were divorcing – but not separating.

‘In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue,’ the statement began.

‘However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part.’

They continued: ‘Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately.

‘While it might be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.’

They wrapped up by saying, ‘Thank you for the love and support,’ signing the letter, Kyle & Mauricio.

Richards and Umansky ‘have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof,’ an insider told People Monday. ‘They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.’
